A series of animated short films that address human-animal interaction, artistic practices of sound exploration (Field Recordings), the limits of human listening, interspecies relationships, animal voices, listening to what we do not see (like underwater sounds), the technologies and materialities of listening, the human arbitrary interpretation of the soundscape and its voices.
In the first video of the series you can see a character recording in a forest, when suddenly he comes face to face with a bear. At first they both get scared and scream. However, after the initial shock, the bear speaks to him and asks the man what he is doing in this place and thus begins a conversation between them. This conversation wants to reveal and highlight the view and actions of what we understand as nature, and how we approach it in an intrusive way, given the distance and lack of understanding we have about it.
Short Film Series, Digital Full HD 16:9 Format with Stereo Sound, 4’ 23”.
