After more than 8 years been traveling and living in different countries (China, South Korea) due to my job as an Architectect, but also performing live with my project Sun Color, I decided it was time to settle down and dedicate my efforts only to my sound & art projects.

While touring and performing, I got to know many musicians performing with D.I.Y handmade electronics, weird devices and specially MODULAR SYNTHESIZERS. I wanted to learn about these machines but at that time there was no place in Barcelona to buy or even try Eurorack Modules. So I decided to OPEN my own Synth Store.

KNOB SHOP was the 1st shop in Barcelona focused on Eurorack Modular Synthesizers and weird experimental electronic instruments. I later discovered that it was the 1st ever Eurorack shop in the whole Spain.

With a very strong focus on sound art and experimental music and abstract composition, I considered the KNOB Shop to be an artistic project, a business and a contribution to the music scene in my city.  Knob shop started as a really small shop in 2013 and grew to a bigger shop/concert/workshop and show room space in 2015 until it closed in 2018. During these years, KNOB SHOP was involved in many Festivals and Fairs, have make workshops, lectures, masterclasses, presentations, concerts…

Together with the local modular manufacturers BEFACO, Knob Shop founded the Barcelona´s Modular Day Festival, which is held every year at the Hangar Art Center in Barcelona. Knob Shop co-directed this event in its first 4 editions (2014-2018) until the store closed.
